So, there are times when I have good ideas for a photo series I might do. Most of the time they just fade away cz I never do anything with them and theyre in my mind so long that I myself get bored with them and think them no longer interesting.

Not this time.

I just jumped in.

This series was inspired off a photo I had come across, a mania times, of Johnny Cash giving a "Middle Finger Salute" to the camera as he made a face holding his guitar. I am taking photos of ppl I interact with daily and getting them to do the same. No coaching other than "flip off the camera"

this is not an attempt to be cool or a badass, but actually something deep.

to be brief, its an attempt to make expressions, whether negative, out there in the open. Its healthy to express yourself. Even more so in a negative way. I found this in much of some research I had done in a season of my life.

....now its here, and you cant do anything about it~
